Socrates Lingua 2: Autonomous Language Package Preschool Education – A.P.P.L.E. 

Project Description 

The project aims to promoted English and French language learning among preschool children in six countries: Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Greece  and also to give information about  benefits of early language learning to parents. The project supported acquiring listening, responding and speaking skills by children, in two foreign languages through innovative ICT-based program and also by using the traditional method of learning through crafts, games and songs. There was prepared six versions of the DVD, designed specifically for use at home or in kindergartens.

The project took into consideration children's developmental needs and emphasis was placed on achieving a balance between time spent at the computer and the time spent on creating toys. During project printed materials were developed to support and help parents and teachers. The project has a website in eight languages and a forum to communicate with parents and teachers.
